The main ingredient of C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resin is concentrated piperylene. The characteristic of aliphatic hydrocarbon is light color,good heat resistance, better weather resistance.lower softening point.Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resin is compatible with non-polar polymer and are incompatible with polar polymer.It is widely used in adhesive industry such hot-melt adhesive,pressure sensitive adhesive. Also widely used in rubber industry as the rubber blending agent, and road making paint.

The future development of Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Resin is heading to high-end, environmental friendly,specialized,differential and multi-functional.however, the homogeneous and inferior products in china urge of modification of C5 petroleum resin polymer ization ,development of hydrogenation modification and anhydride maleic modified C5 petroleum resin, which will improve the quality of C5 Petroleum resin and modified resin to meet the requirement of the high end products.

Part Two: C5 Aliphatic Hydrocarbon resin Applications

2.1 Tackifier Industry

C5 Petroleum resin are used in adhesive industry,which related to the structure and decoration in construction industry, automobile assembly,tire,wood processing,commodity package,bookbinding ,baby diapers, foodwear industry etc.C5 Aliphatic hydrocarbon resin are widely used in hot-melt adhesive,pressure sensitive adhesive industry etc.

2.2 Additive Industry

2.2.1 Paint industry :C5 Petroleum resin are as the main additive in paint industry, which can speed up the drying of paint film,improve the end-products water resistance, enhance acid and alkali resistance and strengthen the surface hardness and raise up the surface gloss.Generally in road making industry, generally the consumption of C5 Resin is 10%-30%,which can make the end products own sufficient durability,good thermal stability and weather resistance.

2.2.2 In rubber industry, Generally the consumption of C5 Resin is approximate 15%,the main role is softening and increase the viscocification in order to improve the processability.Untile now, our customers have a good usage in synthetic rubber industry, such as SBR (styrene butadiene rubber),BR(butadiene rubber) and HIIR(Halogenated butyl rubber) etc.

2.2.3 Asphalt material:C5 Petroleum resin can be used as the main additive in asphalt material.which are widely used in housing construction,especially used in the color road pavement.

2.2.4 Medical industry: Aliphatic hydrocarbon resin are widely used in the blood bag, the package of the liquid drugs etc. And make up the defect of polypropylene and polybutene in medical package, more heat resistance, more transparency and more softness.

2.3 Paper Industry

Generally the C5 aliphatic hydrocarbon resin are made into emulsion using as the sizing agent in paper industry. Owing to the petroleum resin is non-polar polymer,which can not directly to be the sizing agent emulsion, must mixed with rosin or other maleic anhydride with active groups. At present ,we study many kinds of petroleum resin, which can be widely used in paper indsutry.

Part Three: Handling and storage

Handling: Keep away from fire and heat source, Somking is strictly prohibited in the workplace,Lightly loaded and lightly discharge. The work palce should prepare the fire equipment.

Storage:It is should be stored in a cool ventilated place, far away from Fire , far away from the heat source,It is forbidden to used the tool or equipment which easy to spark.
