A: Good question. Both are used as opposite options in our frames to protect and display your artwork. Glass is a reliable material for picture frames. It provides crystal clear coverage with little to no glare. The only downside to glass is that when used in frames 12" x 18" and larger, glass sometimes breaks during shipping. To solve this problem, we offer a durable alternative to acrylic coating. Acrylic has the same coverage and transparent protection as glass. However, it is lighter in weight and softer than glass, making it an excellent choice for larger frames.
